From workshop...
In 1969, Spyros Ouzounis founded a metal workshop just outside of Serres, Northern Greece. His grandson, Odysseas Darnakas, grew up among the tools and machines—but followed a different path, studying and working in sports journalism in Athens for ten years.
In 2012, he returned home and saw the family workshop not as a relic, but as a place full of new potential. This was the beginning of Darnaka Estate.
...to distillery
The workshop became a distillery. Every autumn, from mid-October to December, the courtyard fills with friends, music, and the steam of distillation. Tsipouro here is more than just a spirit—it’s an excuse to gather, to share, to celebrate life. Everything happens slowly, deliberately, with care.
From the earth—with soul
In 2020, Odysseas began cultivating organic cornelian cherries on a 3.5-acre field. From there, a new idea took root: to blend their triple-distilled tsipouro with the boldness of cornelian cherry and blood orange juice. The result is a soulful spirit—layered with flavor, rooted in land, and true to its craft.
